Can you buy the Kindle (e-book reading device) from the US and use it Canada. Even if you can’t connect to Amazon’s free WIFI in Canada that’s ok. But from Canada can you still purchase the e-books on the Kindle (because you need an internet connection to do that right?) If its not possible, does anyone have any Canadian e-book alternatives?

I’m sorry that I’m in a rush. . . But I’ve just answered a similar question yesterday, about getting and using the Kindle in Australia. It will just work the same in Canada. . .

    Hope it helps.

You need an U. S. credit card and delivery address. Then follow the steps mentioned here:

I’m not sure if you can find a U. S. friend to help or not. If you can, ask your friend to get the Kindle for you and register with his account, then send it to you. Just give him back the money every time you bought something. . .
